Tanach

Tehillim

56:2–5, 14

On the day I am afraid, I will trust in You; I have trusted in G-d, I will not fear

2Be gracious to me, G-d, for man longs to swallow me; all day long the warrior oppresses me.

3Those who watch me [for evil] long to swallow me all day long, for many fight against me, [You who sit] on high.

4On the day I am afraid, I will trust in You.

5I praise G-d for His word; I have trusted in G-d, I will not fear; what can flesh [and blood] do to me?

14For You have saved my soul from death; have You not [saved] my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before G-d in the light of life?
