Tehillim

127:1–2

If Hashem does not build a house, its builders have toiled on it in vain; it is in vain for you who rise early and sit up late

1A song of ascents, by Shlomo. If Hashem does not build a house, its builders have toiled on it in vain; if Hashem does not guard a city, the watchman has stayed awake in vain.

2It is in vain for you who rise early and sit up late, who eat the bread of toil; so He gives [what he needs] to His beloved one, [who forgoes] sleep.
